Schlesinger Conrad focuses on settling cases.  In the event that you elect to decline a reasonable settlement offer, the fee agreement signed by each client states that such declination is grounds to terminate the attorney-client relationship. However, if we are unable to obtain a realistic settlement for your case, we will bring in trial counsel to litigate your case before a judge or jury.  You will not be charged any fee in excess of the hourly amount you have agreed to in the retainer agreement.  However, you will be responsible for the hourly fees incurred, regardless of whether it is Schlesinger Conrad or specially retained trial counsel.  If you are provided with a retainer agreement, please review it carefully before signing.  You have the right to have it reviewed by outside counsel of your choice.
